His experiece seems to be in FALSE CONFESSIONS. Read the paragraph here on Interrogative Suggestability: "According to (Gudjonnson & Clark's) model a suggestible person who is subjected to leading questions and negative feedback may have his memory of the event in question distorted, particularly if the interviewee does not know for certain the right answers to the questions."

Perhaps it was his then then recent book The Psychology of Interrogations and Confessions that brought him to the attention of the TV Police/Hutton Inquiry?
Guardian inteview here with him from Dec 2002. I wonder what his role was - he wasn't a witness.
